Built in the 1900's the Tankerville Arms derived its name from Lord Tankerville who owned the land from Longden to Lyth Hill and the Tankerville Mines at the Stiperstones.
Lord Tankerville married Lady Mary Grey who's family own Chillingham Castle, the most haunted castle in England.
The Tankerville Arms has undergone major expansion over the years. The living quarters are now the Public Bar, and the stables are now part of the restaurant. A further extention was erected to extend the restaurant which now seats 60.
The Tankerville Arms has a cosy lounge bar where you can enjoy a pint of beer or a glass of wine & peruse our A La Carte menu & Specials boards or retire to after your meal.
Cast ales are provided by a local brewery in Craven Arms and are changed monthly. As does our 'Wine of the Month' We also offer all the other traditional lagers, wines, spirit and soft drinks.
Our Public bar has the regular pool table, darts and games machines to satisfy those of you who enjoy a bit of sport. We also offer bar snacks.
Both our bars are family friendly as is our large beer garden where we provide swings and slides to keep the kids entertained. Great for those summer nights.
